SAMPLE LUNCH TIME AND AFTERHOURS ANSWERING SERVICE MENU

 

“Thank you for calling Seattle Medical Clinic. The office doctors Johnson and Schmidt.
If this is a life threatening medical emergency, please hang up and dial 911.
Our office hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. We are closed between 12 and 1 for lunch. If you are calling during business hours we are currently assisting other clients so please leave a message after the tone.

If you are a physician, a hospital or a patient with an EMERGENCY and you need to reach the doctor on-call, please press 0 now. For all other NON-urgent calls, please leave your message for the office after the tone.”       (beep)

(If the caller presses zero the caller will be transferred to the emergency on-call message center)

SAMPLE ON-CALL DOCTOR EMERGENCY MESSAGE CENTER (if caller presses zero)

 

“You have been transferred to the emergency on-call message center. If you have reached this by mistake, press zero now.  If your call is urgent and you need to reach the doctor on-call please leave your name, telephone number and a message after the tone. The on-call doctor will be notified and will return your call shortly.”      (beep)   

 

(If 0 is press the caller will be sent back to the office message center where they may leave a non urgent message for the office)

 

 


OUR SYSTEM WILL NOTIFY THE ON-CALL PHYSICIAN OF THE URGENT MESSAGE 

When a message is left in the emergency message center the on-call doctor's voice mail will notify the doctor on his pager and/or cellular phone.  If no response our system will call the pager and/or cellular phone again in 15 minutes or 30 minutes or at a specific time interval that you specify.   Our system can call up to eight different telephone numbers by which to notify the on-call doctor or backup doctor.

 

 

ADDITIONALLY

The Zero (0) emergency option on the above design can be changed remotely 24/7 to have the urgent calls redirected to another physician in your office or to a covering physician that is part of a different office who you may share on-call responsibilities with.

 

 

IF THE DOCTOR WISHES

In many clinics the physicians do not wish to give out their home phone or cell numbers on their office answering machine.  In this case the urgent emergency on-call option can also be programmed to forward your patients "live" to the on-call doctor's cellular phone or home phone by simply pressing 0.

 

 

LASTLY

If you are a multi-doctor clinic that have doctors that wish to handle their own emergency calls we can provide the patient the option of listening to a voiced menu that lists out the names of each doctor and the option of transferring to their personal doctor at a touch of a button.
